Where are my letters stored?

On your iPhone, inside the app. Faraway has no account and no server — nothing you write is sent anywhere. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Does Faraway work without internet?

Yes, completely. There is nothing to load and nothing to send, so it works the same on a plane, on patchy hotel wifi, or on a foreign SIM with no data left.

How do I keep my letters safe?

Because everything lives on your device, your iPhone backup is your safety net. Switch on Settings → [your name] → iCloud → iCloud Backup, or back your iPhone up to a computer. Restoring that backup to a new iPhone brings your Faraway letters with it — useful when you replace a phone abroad.

I deleted the app. Can I get my letters back?

Only from a device backup made before you deleted it. Deleting the app removes its content from your iPhone, and we hold no copy we could restore. If your letters matter to you, confirm your backup is on before removing the app.

Will my letters sync to my other devices?

Not in this version. Faraway is deliberately offline and device-only. Sync is on the list for a future release — tell us if you want it, it helps us prioritise.

Does Faraway know where I am?

No. Place tags like "From Berlin" are text you enter yourself. The app never requests or reads your device location.

What is Premium?

A set of features shown in the app marked as coming soon. This version is free and contains no purchases.

The app is slow or something looks wrong

Close the app fully, reopen it, then check the App Store for an update. If it persists, email us with your iPhone model and iOS version.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. Faraway is iPhone-only for now.
