Privacy Policy

Who we are

Pawprint ("we," "us") is a private journaling and keepsake app for dog parents. This policy applies to the Pawprint iOS app and describes how your information is handled.

What we collect

Nothing. Pawprint has no sign-up, no login, and no user accounts. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, advertising identifier, or any usage or analytics data.

The app does not make network requests. Once installed, it works fully offline — including its fonts, which are bundled inside the app rather than loaded from the internet.

Where your content lives

• On your device only. The letters, journal entries, photos, and milestones (like Gotcha Day) you create are stored in Pawprint's own storage on your iPhone.
• Your photos never leave your phone. When you attach a photo, it is saved inside the app on your device. It is not uploaded anywhere.
• No cloud sync. This version of Pawprint does not sync between devices and does not back up to our servers, because we do not operate any servers for this app.
• iCloud device backups. If you have Apple's iPhone backup switched on, your Pawprint content may be included in that encrypted backup of your device. That backup is between you and Apple, and is governed by Apple's privacy policy — we have no access to it.

Deleting your data

You are always in control. You can delete individual entries inside the app at any time. Deleting the Pawprint app from your iPhone removes all of its stored content from your device permanently.

Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no deletion request you need to send us.

What we never do

• We never sell or rent personal information — we do not hold any.
• We never use your letters or photos for advertising or to train any model.
• We never show third-party ads in the app.
• We do not track you across apps or websites, and we use no advertising or analytics SDKs.

Third-party services

Apple distributes Pawprint through the App Store. If you download the app, Apple may provide us with anonymous, aggregated App Store statistics such as total downloads by country. This data is not linked to you and never includes anything you wrote in the app.

Pawprint contains no other third-party services, SDKs, or trackers.

Purchases

This version of Pawprint is free and contains no purchases. Some premium features are shown in the app marked as coming soon. If paid features are introduced in a future version, Apple will process the payment — we would never receive your card details — and this policy will be updated before that version ships.

Your rights

Privacy laws including the GDPR (EU/EEA and UK) and the CCPA (California) give you rights to access, correct, export, and delete the personal data a company holds about you. Because Pawprint holds no personal data about you on any server, these rights are satisfied by design: your content is already exclusively in your possession, on your own device. We do not sell personal information, so no opt-out is required. You can contact us any time with a question about this.

Children

Pawprint is intended for users 13 and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone — including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Pawprint changes how data is handled, we will update this page and note the change in the app before it takes effect.
